The metal housing is on the heavier side, but that heft actually inspires quite a bit of confidence when it comes to trimming. The textured metal base has a rubberized grip towards the head of the trimmer, so even if you’re holding it near the top for precise edging, you won’t risk dropping it (and if you do, it’ll probably survive the fall).
